I wanted to thank all you guys for the advice over the last couple months as I worked on redoing our living room. I finally got it "almost" done. Here is a picture of the fireplace we put in. I had to learn some mason skills on this job. The fireplace is framed by northern white cedar that came from cedar eaters swamp up near Jewell Lake.

Hey Jeff,
That's nice ;D
Show us more I like that dragsaw 8)
Dat really turned out nice. The drag saw is a great touch. BUT, I thought da whole idea of a fireplace was to have da smell of woodsmoke, dirt and bark all over, and hot coals jumpin' out at ya. :D
He isnt't through yet. Jeff is a master of Facade.
Here is the other side of the room.

Nice warm atmosphere Jeff.
Good thing it is a woodless fire place or the mrs. might take to burning the furniture. ;D
Gus
Nice job Jeff, the room looks great.
Thanks Tom, that does look just like the other side of the room. Almost. :)
Nice job !!!!!
Great job, Jeff!
Ain't masonry work fun? We just finished laying 158 16" form blocks for the saw barn. I promptly knocked three of them out with the grader box ???
Guess what I am doing this evening? :P
