I was hoping that nobody would notice that auto refresh in the bad way!  I set it for 20 minutes thinking that would be plenty. Oh well another bad good idear, I am getting rid of it now... :-/

Happy 1rst birthday to all of you, You guys are the forum, I only hold the door open.

Jeff, you don't have to turn it off---I just need to learn how to type a little faster. :D The auto refresh is a great idea except for in the reply section. :-/

So a year is a year is a year. How large will this place be in another year? Hope it doesn't get too big, I sort of like the small town size if you know what I mean.

I know what you mean- but OTOH...this is such a vital and excellent group, and the action is so lively (well it IS!..) that if you get more of the same type I think it's just be that much more fun! Think of how many newbies will not be able to resist the practice bathroom/sawyer experience- they will like it so much that the sale of mills will go way up and the economy will be healed. Now we just need some posts on the fun ways you can practice hammering, drilling and roofing so we can also stimulate people to put up more houses. We could call it the 'pounded thumb forum'. :D :D   lw

Is that auto thingie what keep me from signing on?  Been two, three days since I could sign on.

Oh well, happy 1st, now if you could just get a few more Texans, or, if none are available, a few more of us southren boys and girls, the site would be perfect!

At leas' we'd unnerstan each otha.

How did it come to this? Birthday wishs to the forom with referals on one of the most famous uses for corn cobs?

Thank God for the Forest Products Industry. May we never have to use the cob in that way again. Viva Paper, Viva Forestry Forum!

That's what is so special about this forum.  It allows a bunch of nuts to be a bunch of nuts.  Not too many folks here running around with their nose in the air.........corn cob or not.

That brings up a thought.

How, in today's market, would you advertise corncob tissue?
Hmmmmmmmmm that could strain the brain. :D

That was very interesting to me.

I don't see how you could eat cob corn vertically, I must have missed something there.

I do understand about that other use for corncobs.  That reminds me of the bumpersticker that said something to the effect of:  If you don't like the cutting of trees, try plastic toilet paper.

Happy
birthday to everyone.  It has been a real honor for myself to be  a part of this Forum.  I have truly appreciated the efforts of Jeff as well as many others for there constant initiating of thought provoking ideas as well as answers to questions and concerns.  It is a fun process to be a part of such a rapid growing group of fine people from all walks of life and work.  It is good that we are not all directly involved in the production of sawdust from a mill.   An old saying, "variety is the spice of life" surely fits the make-up of this group.   8) 8)

I have to admit it took me awhile of counting on my fingers- I knew it'd been more than a year. Finally READ the date on the first post in the thread and said 'dOh!'   :)     lw
