Title: Good hand saw?
Post by: Holmes on April 11, 2010, 09:07:03 AM
I am looking for an efficient hand saw to cut 3"to 6" trees down as I walk the old horse skidding trails on my land. I do not want to carry a chain saw with me.Any suggestions on the best arborist saw?  Holmes

I would get a "bow saw", They are light weigh and the narrow band cuts fast without a lot of effort .

We have a saw out here called a sharks saw, made for both trees and rough carpentry. This is a great saw and small enough to fit in a back pack.
