just got a fresh slightly used 880.....what has anyone done to theirs?  i know it's huge and has a pisshorse of power, but you gotta keep the options open.

I had this guy port mine for me. Here it is stock (along with a 460 he built for another guy at the same time).

And here it is after some voodoo magic.

I hate race videos using big saws with short bars on tiny logs but that's the only footage I have of the saw. It wears a 42" bar only because I really don't need anything bigger and I'm too cheap to spend $300 on a long bar that I might be able to use once per year. Anyway, he built it with torque as the goal, he knew I would never run a short bar on it. I'm very pleased as it is a torque monster.

Yes there is some good running MS880 out there too. Hotsaw to worksaws.  But a Husky 3120 like the one I had beat them both that day. 8)

I'm not rich enough to own a 880 so I run the tad lighter 084. I had 4 at one time and this is the slowest ported one for worksaw in the bunch besides the stock one. 93 octane  :)

Allrighty then .C-4-Fun made that cut in Pa in around 3.35 I think .With the same  saw my time was a flat 4.0 .With a stocker 084 my time was 6 seconds .They will cut if you set them up right ,do pretty good on plump stuff too . ;)

Screw cookie cutter saws, get a saw with some balls.
