Followed me home yesterday. But now its dark and rainy outside...wheres my flashlight and raincoat. I got logs to saw. ;D
You wont find a better mill for anywhere near the price. Steve
Congrats Larry!
I really like the B2000 mills. Please keep us posted about first log on it, and overall performance.
Nice.Is this an upgrade?
Yer goona need to update your user pic! 8)
Sweet!
larry,
i wish you woulda had that when we came down to your place last tuesday so i coulda sawed it in person. btw i dont think 1 hour on the meter qualifies as used. pc
Nice! I was impressed by the videos on TimberKing's website. They can cut some lumber. Congratulations!
Great Larry, now i have a resion to come down and see your new mill. I was over at Tinberking
couple of weeks ago. All most wanted to buy a 1600 they had setting there.
Lester
You should have dropped by on the way home with it. I've been wanting to play with one of those. I was hoping Timberking would let me test one for a while.
That's very good.

Through a junk log on the mill this morning to play with...how bout that for my new avatar Jeff?

Spent most of the day figuring out which lever does what and how to work the setworks. Don't think I would have spent the money if it was an option, but now that I've used it don't see how one could saw without it. Really speeds up sawing and the accuracy is great.

Sprung for the optional drag back. I searched the forum for advice on drag backs and it seemed to be a love hate type thing. Most of the negatives were too slow and reduced vertical space in the window to much. TimberKing increased the window to 16" so space concerns went away on the B2000.

I like the view without all the drag back junk in the way much better.
Thought of a few tweaks that need to be made but I'm going to get proficient using it before I change anything.
I was thinking TK should have a loaner mill for you local guys, just to field test for them. I'll tell em Jim and Lester have already volunteered next time I'm up that way. :)

that is exactly my wife anita will not let me play with the
big boy toysan automated mill.pc
You are moving on up, partner ;D.
Wow that's a big step up from that little Kasco! I'm tickled for you, Larry! Dragback is where it's at for that kind of mill. Without it, you just about have to give up sawing alone to keep from wasting such a great resource. Of course, now you need some help with stacking, for the same reason, not to speak of a better source of logs.
That log wasn't prime, but I bet there's some good uses for it. ;D
Very nice, I sure enjoy my B-20, You have some awesome options, Its a tough mill, handled that big Oak just fine.
ooooooh! man I still do that when I see a shiny new mill even after I bought my self one! Anyways nice mill Larry, enjoy & play safe 8)

TK did all the right upgrades on the B 2000. I know you will enjoy running it.
That is the mill that I find myslef most considering for a 'next mill'. I really think I will have a 'next mill' but the wife and I disgree regarding when that will happen >:(
Congrats on your new mill. Keep us posted as you put it through the paces.
That's awesome. We just upgraded to a used b-20 and it has blown my mind, I bet this takes it to a whole new level. Sawmill envy.
Ryan
Way to go Larry,
Proud for you :) Just be careful and don't work yourself to death :D
Jerry
Congratulations, that is a hunk-a-mill. Is the control station movable or stationary?
The control station can be swung from side to side. Quite similar to how a tractor blade swings.
Figure when I get a little more proficient I will mount an easy chair, umbrella, and a cup holder. :)
Then you will be having too much fun. I know of another sawyer that has a seat and umbrella on his mill. ;) :)
Congratulations Larry,
Good looking machine, from the looks of that log on the mill I'd say the hydraulics are pretty stout.
Keep us updated on it's performance :)
I drive a lot of miles every year, and one of them has yet to follow me home. I guess I'm just doing it wrong.
