Title: Beam numbering scheme
Post by: ballen on October 16, 2010, 03:32:24 PM
Sorry everyone...I'm sure this topic is covered somewhere but I can't get the search function to work.
What's the best way to number a frame before dismantling?  Posts, ties, purlins, braces, sill, etc.  I need to completely document each joint before a complete dismantling.
Thanks!
Bill

Is it a Scribe frame or Square ruled ?

It may already be numbered, and if possible I always like to use original system. It adds interest and the sense that moving the frame is just part of a continuum in its history.

Check this thread where member Rooster mentioned what he does. Also might be additional info on his website.
