is this hard on a knuckleboom? is it done mostly in the south or everywhere, i have a chance to get a 410 b with saw package, and can get a pull-thru delimber for pretty cheap on a small trailer. would it be hard on the 410 or is it big enough?, i would only be doing small to medium hardwood or pine.
the 410 was built to take that kind of abuse.
even a older one?
even an older one, but consider the abuse it may have already received.
its never been used for that before. a tree service is selling it :)
Gday
TF Like Maine said they are built for it the 410s a big boy Mate ;) :D ;D 8) and if its never been used for delimbing it should still be pretty tight in the boom and stick pins delimbing does put alot of forces on those components but that would depend more on the type of action you use to delimb swing delimbing is quicker but will put alot more side force on the pins opposed to if you where using the boom and stick in a direct inline pull back to the loader Mate ;) that said it will take years to do any real damage either way :D ;D 8) ;) What year is it and i take it is a truck mount Mate ???
Regards Chris
its mounted on a pintle trailer! the guy pulled it with a tandem truck, that is a big loader! im not sure what year it is, it has a 353 detriot, and saw hookup. i also looked @ a H model prentice today, homemade trailer, detriot power unit, it has 22-25 ft reach, i really dont need anything big anyway. i might go back tomorrow to take pics so i can post them on here. im really intrested in a selfloader truck.
