Title: weight of a c4

anyone know about how much a c4 tree farmer weighs? Im guessing mine is about 6 tons but really not sure.

I asked a buddy of mine, he says his C4's right around there. It'll go a bit more all chained up. You got one or picking one up? His C4 is the most reliable of his 3 skidders. Seems a bit tippy though.

Trying to buy a parts machine for scrap price. Mine is very tippy 18.4x34 tires are too big for it. The one im trying to buy has 16.9x30 but the tires are shot.The 2 rims on the front of mine are cracking bad Ive repaired them but need replacing.The 8 lug wheels are hard to find. 750 each for new.......to much for me...

my c5 is tippy, i think a c4 weighs around 14 or 15,000.

C4 should weidh the same as the Garrett 15, 12,000 to 12,500 depending on tire weight

18.4-26 tires are beat, but still there, it'll get chains

gajones- I can't part with them but MAY have a place to find some I think. There's a scrapper in these parts that's always got stuff laying around. When I'm up North this weekend I'll stop and ask him.

Gajones, have you checked with a parts place like Schaefer Enterprises? They may have them.. they have alot of skidders disassembled their. http://www.sewlparts.com/Default.aspx

I stopped there once as I was driving home from Arkansas one time, they are right on the east bank of the Mississippi river. They have a lot of EVERYTHING  :D :D disassembled there!! If you like old machinery of any type you could easily spend a couple days walking around this place and not see it all.
