Title: Sabre chainsaws
Post by: Bernhard on September 18, 2011, 08:45:40 AM
I stumbled over a Sabre chainsaw today and I am not sure, if it is US brand. Is it similar to Homelite or Ryobi?
Can anybody help me out with, where they are made, maybe assembled.

In Germany they had been sold by boxstores and DIY markets, compareable to Homedepot or WalMart.

Am I wrong, od have they been sold at JD dealerships, too? Not sure, but I guess to have seen rideon mowers, branded as SABRE at a JD Dealer a few years ago.

Sabre was JD's box store line, your saw is likely a Homelite as JD owned that company for a number of years.

It´s not mine, but there is one offered a few miles from here for 35 USD. If they are any good, maybe I can turn some bucks with it by selling them in Poland.
