Title: E-classic 2300 Turbulators
Post by: grousehunter on November 10, 2011, 02:34:21 PM
Does any one have any experience with replacement of the turbulators on the 2300.
I just replied on another thread to logjam as I understand he works for CB.
My dealer said that they were advised not to replace turbulators but to just take them out.
Has anyone else been told the same from their Dealers?
I just picked up a new set but I guess if it doesn't impact the performance of the unit it sure would make cleaning quicker.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

John

Mine are a little burned at the bottom ends after 3 seasons but still are functionable according to my dealer.  He explained they are used to help direct the heat around and to the steel of the heat exchangers instead of a direct outlet to the chimney.  Must help some to get the boiler water up to temp. I also just slide them back and forth when I need to do any cleaning.  Seems to knock any of the fly ash out of the exchangers.  Still use the brush but the turbulators clean out most of it.

Fired it up after deer season and turned up the house thermostat to 72 degrees.  I can't sleep with the bed covers on but my wife is happy to have a toasty warm house again!   8)
