I was left this question on a private message by one of our new members. Does anybody have and Idea of it's origin?
between red and white oaks.
The "Red man" used bows and arrows.
(red oak--pointed leaf tips like arrows)
The "White man" used guns and bullets.
(white oak---rounded leaf tips like bullets)
I am trying to find out where this originated from; any ideas?
Tom,
I got no idea. I do recall that the saying was in a Boy Scout manual, but I'm not sure if that's the origin or not.
Don't hear it too much anymore, too un-politically correct. ::)
