there is a ts model prentice for sale around here. it comes with a 360 prentice grapple. it needs a few things seat, ladder put back on,etc. hoses are good, and has no slack. i have the money, but i am unsure if its worth it. i would take my H off and put it on that trailer and unit. it would be nice for the reach and lift power but i heard they are slow ??? but my H isnt fast either. i was going to hook the slasher on it but i would like a newer loader. my truck is a gas 427 ??? i am either going to get another newer loader or truck. i found a nice international 4900 5spd,DT466, air brakes for $4000, i was thinking of getting that and putting a small prentice on it and adding a air-lift axle. ???
the speed is all in the hydraulics. you could by the wallboard boom for the frame and have somone spec out a pump that would move it the way you want. but they are heavier that a log loader, have to be for the lift and reach. not good if you are going to haul wood with the truck. for a landing loader you might as well but a turn table machine with a cab and plumbed to run a slasher from the get go.
the only guy ive seen with a ts 33 was a tree guy, he needed the reach and didnt load the truck full very often so the loss of net weight wasnt a big loss.
tf87 you should watch for a tractor like this, you can find-em pretty reasonable, would make a good ole log truck. the bid on this so far is $3200.

Must be on big motor in that truck! Notice the 3 mufflers!!!!!! :D
Weed-burner exhaust with Dummy stacks.. Crazy how many trucks out there like this
its crazy looking
Whats a weed burner on a truk for ???
Is it a heater of some kind .
I've never seen an exhaust setup like that. What's the point of it, why not just run the stacks? I do think a rig like that with a tag axle and a rear mount loader would be slick for TF, get a pup for it too than you could move some wood.
who ever has the loader has a mack for sale too with a rear mount 120e prentice. the truck has 20000 mi. it is way out of my price range 70000. it came from hubler bros. it is almost a new truck.
tf87 I have a t33 prentice it was a dry wall boom. It works great but would not be realy good for slashing.( way to slow) I operate a slasher in the winter months and think that this set up wouldn't get enough done to pay for your fuel. I have thought about doing something with the pumps on mine to speed it up ,but just don't use it very much. It does have very good lift capacity .
Smvwoody has a ts 33. It will lift a 12ft 52 in on the small end red oak
