try less set and less lead angle. like 8 degrees and .015 hardwood and 9 degrees .020 soft. if you have blades set up for hard and soft already use the hard ones on soft wood. a little less feed helps also.
I've always have had problems with logs that are partly frozen. Sawdust packs on the side of the log and pushes the saw. When the logs are totally frozen, I don't have a problem. I'm running a circle mill, but I imagine the problem is the same.
Less lead is also run on circle mills for frozen logs.
