I just want to check the opening order for each solenoid. When should each solenoid be open. Primary, low secondary and high secondar solenoids.
I think this is some of the solenoid order
Off None
Air Pluse Primary?
Door open ?
Low fire below 550? Primary and ??
Low fire above 550? Primary and low secondary?
High fire 750 and above Primary and high secondary ?
Shutting down Low secondary ??

Probably works the same as on my Eclassic 2400 measured reaction chamber temps.
Off None
Air Pulse Primary
Door Open Secondary Low & Secondary High
Low Burn Below 550 - Primary
Low Secondary 550-750 - Primary & Secondary Low
High Burn 750+ Primary, Secondary Low & Secondary High
Reach Set Point Low Secondary only for a couple of minutes
I think you will need to identify the year of the boiler, type of control and version of the control to recieve the correct answer to this question. There are differnet versions of the E2300. I have an older one and I know that there are not the stages you describe in mine.
What boilerman101 said is what I am seeing. The E3200 was made in May 2011. It has an updated controller with version 558 software. But the secondary low does not work because of a bad traic chip in the controller. I will be replacing the triac as soon as I get the new one.
I would love to get a newer Firestar 2 controller. Then I could watch the boiler from the house or on the road with the Wifi kit.
Your right Stumper, your E2300 model did not have the thermocouple in the reaction chamber that all the following Eclassic models have had.
I think your burn stages worked on timing, while the later models worked of reaction chamber temps. Probably fine tuning air induction a little better.
I believe all their later models with firestar controllers work similiar to what I described above.

To all E-2300 with the gas back up (which involves having 2 more solenoids on the right side of the left 3, one for the upper gas burner, one for the lower gas burner).
I received back the following from a very helpful Tech at Central Boiler. For any who need a clear cut explanation for the E-Classic 2300, earlier model, (mine is 2008), this may be very helpful, as DR B, I do not have the lower reaction chamber temp. monitor..
"YOUR UNIT E-CLASSIC 2300 WORKS ON A 10 DEGREE DIFFERENTIAL, SO WHEN WATER TEMP DROPS 10 DEGREES FROM SET POINT, BLOWER KICKS ON AND TOP LEFT SOLENOID (PRIMARY) OPENS, BLOWING AIR INTO THE FIREBOX THROUGH THE AIR CHANNEL HOLES ON THE BACK WALL AND SIDEWALLS. 1 MINUTE LATER THE SECOND SOLENOID DOWN ON THE LEFT ALSO OPENS BLOWING AIR IN UNDER THE GRATES THROUGH THE FUSION COMBUSTOR HOLES, ONE MINUTE LATER THE BOTTOM LEFT SOLENOID OPENS ALLOWING FOR FULL AIR FLOW AND UNIT IS NOW IN "HIGH BURN" MODE....THE 2 SOLENOIDS TO THE RIGHT SHOULD ALWAYS BE CLOSED UNLESS ONE OF THE BURNERS ARE ACTIVATED.
IF THE TOP SOLENOID NEVER OPENS, CHECK FOR A LOOSE WIRE....USUALLY IF IT IS BAD, THE 5 AMP FUSE WOULD BLOW.
IT WOULD NOT BURN VERY WELL WITHOUT AIR BLOWING INTO THE FIREBOX.
YOU COULD STEAL THE BOTTOM LEFT SOLENOID AND MOVE IT UP TO THE PRIMARY POSITION IF YOU HAD TO, UNTIL REPLACED...JUST PROP OPEN THE LOWER LEFT COVER OR LEAVE IT OPEN, SO IT WOULD BASICALLY JUST BE BURNING ON HIGH ANYTIME FAN IS RUNNING FOR A TEMPORARY FIX TO GET YOU BACK UP AND RUNNING."

Hi Sam-tip. Please take this comment in the helpful tone it is meant, and not a criticism. If by "chip" you mean integrated circuit "IC", then a triac is not an integrated circuit. I only mention this, because one may have trouble locating the triac, if they are looking for an IC "chip". Instead look for a solid state device.

You are correct. I replaced the triac and it still didn't fix it. Now I wonder if it is the chip the triac driver. Don't really care now. I have replaced it with the Firestar 2 controller with XP wireless reporting. I love this going to the internet and be able to see the history of water and burn temp. Now I need to figure out how to get the air where it is needed from the air box. If all three solenoids are open during high burn most of the air goes to the secondary air chamber. The primary wood box does not get enough air and I get a very slow burns unless I burn very small amounts of wood. The E3200 can hold alot of wood. The more wood the worse the burn. Sometimes smokes bad. I have unplugged the high secondary solenoid to allow the primary chamber to get more air and like the results.

Thanks doctorb, I'm back. This is too good of a forum to stay away too long, but I did take a break. Like most here, I have other interest and I participate on a photographer forum, firearms forum etc...
