put new set of woodmizer guides on mill .roller part of guide seems to be getting quite warm.checked to make sure blade was not running against back flange.does anyone have any ideas.would it be possible to get bad batch of bearing or rollers.thanks
Sabre_tooth,
Take your alignment tool and press one end against the flange of a bearing let the loose end set on the blade. The amount of gap between the band and the flange is the amount of alignment tool hanging off the back of the blade.
The rollers need to run true to the blade or just a hair closer on the up sweep side.
Also, if your kerf is too tight heat will build in the band and then transfer to the roller :o.
Yes, it is possible you got bad bearings. I got 3 rollers that run hot and are noisy. I called Woodmizer and they warranteed 2 of them (the third I had had too long, past waranty).
