Was going to haul wood but the temp is just to warm on the posted roads! May go back to bed then get up and go ice fishing instead!

It's been in the 30's here for 3 days now and only tended the fire 3 times. Easy on the wood pile. ;D

That's a rough one. You guys get ticketed for leaving ruts?

Around here they would only stop the guys that could pay the fine. So the poorer you looked the better chance you had to get by.

Woodhauler you would need a lot of mud to cover that beauty up.

Yes if you could see your tracks, not ruts, tracks you were supposed to stop hauling. This all came a bout from guys not using commonsense. So this ruined it for everybody.
The same rule for skidders, no tracks in the woods

Our long range forecast calls for decent logging temps for next week considering it is nearly the end of Feb.  I am moving to a block tomorrow and need 2-3 weeks of cold nights to ensure my winter road holds up.  I suspect I will be looking at some extremely long yards before I finish the block.  I am beginning to look forward to my first mosquito bite as the last few weeks have been a struggle.

Cheers
Ken

It was in the 30's here today and about 60 up against the house. Water was running over the driveway after lunch. It's suppose to be even warmer by Saturday.

It looked small, but with a 26 ft body i had over 9 cd on! It was a clean up load!
