Title: barko expands product line

was just on the barko site -they have added a 9 ton cap. forwarder that weighs 26000 lbs and a harvester line too :)

they bought what was left of norco also called puma. i talked a puma fowarder owner a couple yrs back. as he put it its a work in progress. before it was called puma it was k2. they only made a few machines

 I don't understand why they discontinued the feller bunchers, they were good machines

I've heard some bad stories about the Puma machines, hopefully Barko will straighten it out.

Barko ,made some good machines, back in the early 80,s i had a  225 barko loader,4-53 power unit, live heel,it was mounted on a DM 600 steel nose mack,it sat up high enough so you had a hydraulic tipping cab to run it over the road.It was great loading trailers,and feeding the chipper. Don

I can get either a 160 barko or 275 for $6000 the 160s collector leaks.

It seems like they are trying to build reliable yet cheap machines.  They look like clubs.  Powershift trans in the k2 maybe the later ones have hydrostat.  Iqan system with suregrip controls.
