Does the Forestry Forum have a special Wounded Warrior Fund? If not, I would propose that we start one. I would like to donate a Randall Made Knife, Orlando, FL., for auction with the proceeds going to the WW Fund. Any ideas out there as to how we might accomplish this?

The Wounded Warrior Project is certainly a worthy cause. I have participated in a nationwide annual fundraiser for it for the last few years. However, starting a "auction" thread or special "WWP Fund here on FF", seems like a lot of work for Jeff and other admin to me with limited return, (as there are only so many of us). Have you checked out the Wounded Warrior Project EBAY Giving option? You can place items for sale on Ebay and have some or all of the purchase price go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. You will still get a tax deductible donation, your item will likely sell for more than it would here on FF, and all of the agreements, procedures, money transfers, and organization is already in place. You could then post a link to the auction for any such donated item and ask the FF members to support WWP by bidding on such items. That would give you both the fundraising for WWP and the involvement of the FF members, while reducing the work load for admin.
That sounds like a good suggestion from SLawyer Dave
