Hello, my name is Jeremy, and I am a new to this website and forum. I recently acquired a Corley number 20 sawmill. The front head block has quiet a bit of ware I would like to find one that does not have as much use. I am in the process of reassembling the mill to its former glory. Any information about the head blocks would be great. If someone has a good idea of how to recondition the head block I would be interested as well.

Welcome to the forestry forum.
In the recent months, member Lyle Niemi posted some on reconditioning his blocks, along with others' comments. You can preview his posts here.

Others with experience will chime in too.
Pics of the blocks will help. Identifying what can be removed for machining will help too.
Pull up a stump, as we will be interested in getting you fixed up and more.... :) 8)

Hey guys I cannot access the link to view the head block photos. I get a you can view this section.
What link?
The link given by beenthere is to a member profile. Pretty confusing as you can't just click on that to view what you are looking for. You only had one post when you tried to look there, if that is the link of which you speak, as you need more than that to view another members profile due to security reasons. It keeps people from joining simply to sift through member profiles for information.

Didn't mean to send you to a dead-end there. :)

It is to the thread lyle niemi started in March '13 when talking about his worn head blocks, and some of the discussion that took place. Pics as well. You can browse lyle's start to getting a mill up and running in no time flat. He is one amazing guy when it comes to 'gettinRdun'.
Jeff had some links that will also help (yeah, he's amazing too ;D ).
Hope it works for you.
