Title: John Deere 540 BC
Post by: Nemologger on June 22, 2013, 01:10:44 PM
Is there such thing as a John Deere 540 skidder that is between a B and a C that is called a BC?

I could be mistaken but Ive never even seen a 540 C. Plenty of 540B's and 540D's kicking around, but I cant recall ever seeing  a 540C. In fact only C series Deere skidder I have ever seen is the 440, and there may have been a BC in that size class. 440B still had a tube frame, 440C got the square tubed frame. Im sure there are guys here that know the Deere history better than me, but thats all I've ever seen.

That should read 540G. There is no such thing as a 540C.
