Does anyone on here only dry wood? or does a majority or people have the mobile sawmill mill business with a small kiln? Just curious about peoples setup. From what I read I think most of you have a sawmill business with a small DH kiln or solar.
we do sawing.. kilndrying (15,000 b.f. cap.) full reman shop. 4 sided planer 6x18 cap. (80sfm) straightline gang rip saw. 3x14 cap.(200 sfm) 5 head moulder 4x9 cap. 80sfm 25 inch wide belt sander. fruilmac endmatcher upto 8" wide 1000 sq.ft /hr cap. on average we will process thru the shop per week around 6-9000 b.f.
the comments iv'e heard from customers with us its one stop shopping. who likes hauling wood around? iv'e got a friend 10 miles away, all he does is dry only. he dosent get much work. mainly people dont want to haul their stuff around.
That sounds like a nice setup. How busy do you stay? Do you offer mobile cutting or mainly people bring it to you for a one stop experience?
the shop is nice.
