Title: Wisconsin Forests
Post by: beenthere on October 20, 2013, 01:31:18 PM
trapper pointed out a good summary video of the lack of logging in WI and corresponding frustrations on small communities and business's associated with the logging industry. Another example of using our tax dollars supporting agencies that in turn run the business out of town.  Locking down the forest resource rather than managing it for wood.

Thanks for posting the link it was a great read.

NY does sell timber from state lands under the direction of the DEC. In the 6 million acre Adirondack Park, on the approximately 50% owned by NYS the trees are protected by the state constitution, the forever wild clause and will never be cut.
