Good Morning All from the " Land of The First Sun!", America's Home Town. Plymouth. MA! Also the Land of Taxes and Liberalism! Winds died down and suns just starting to shine. Wind chill about 20!
Got a load of white oak yesterday and had to bundle up, what with the wind. Used the 262 and was in and out in about 45 min! Looks to be a good one shaping up!

I started the day walking on the sod instead of laying under it so that's a GOOD morning!

Morning all, tossed and turned with chills and a fever all night but this morning I get to unload the semi and we can pick our last four rows of corn, dump the grain carts and combine and be done just in time for the winter weather setting in tonight/tomorrow so all is well.
Woke to 1" snow 6° air temp, -10° wind chill, should just go back to bed, but chores are calling. Have a good day everyone, Keith.(now 4°)
good Friday morning all. Got my coffee and off to the job in an hour. Tomorrow morning means off to sit in the woods so you probably wont hear a good morning from me then. BUT I'LL BE THINKING OF Y'ALL :) :D

Good morning to all of you and good afternoon to me. We are almost 10 hrs. ahead in Afghanistan (East coast time). You guys "sitting in the woods" makes me miss hunting in northern Michigan. Good luck to those that are and hope you are not doing too much "sitting" and more dragging/gutting.

Good morning from a new guy! Only been a few days on here and I love! No more rain here(about time we have wood tied up all over) it's froze up good this morning. Even a good few inches of tracking snow

Good morning all from chilly NH. Temps in upper teens with a 20 plus north wind with gusts expected in the upper 30's to 40's. We had a couple of snow squalls come through last evening. Made everything slick but a pretty white color did nice of job covering over the drab brown color. Heading out to stoke up the OWB, get ready for church and when I get back, staying inside where it's nice and cozy warm. Have a great all! Roger
I just put wood in my furnace and stepped out side its clear and crisp and know wind going to be a nice Sunday.

Morning everyone, cold here but not unbearable and no wind! (at least for now) Got done with harvest middle of last week so now we're playing catch up trying to get all the cattle off grass and back home, just have one more bunch to go and then weaning time.

Good early morning to most of you guys. COOOOOL 65 here in Afghanistan. Real cool after every day for 5 months at 140. Can't wait to sit by the wood burner and enjoy a beverage of my choice. God do I miss those things.

Just got done putting wood in the furnace ,opened up the back door and the wind is screaming out of the northwest. Halling logs this week and just have to keep my back to the wind while sitting on the Prentice ;D. Temperature was around twenty five degrees, stay safe and warm today !

Burned up some of yesterdays feast with a great load of aged oak today! As long as the ground is bare will keep getting the wood! Going thru it with this cold weather! Haven't had the furnace on in at least 7 years!

Ive been up sence six and got the trash burning shoveled the ashes out of the furnace and got enough wood in till Monday. Colder then crap here with snow on the ground wish it would of turned off cold before the snow Iam afarid the ground will be to wet to log this coming week.

About 40 degrees here at The Beach, with scattered rain showers. May have a bit of sleet mixed in at times. Looks like all the ice, snow, and freezing rain will be west and north of here. Getting snow and freezing rain at the cabin right now. I'm sure the roads up in the mountains will be treacherous.

I don't know if you can call it a good morning, -14 again. The only plus at the moment is no wind, but expecting -30 WC all day again. Everyone in the big chill stay warm!
Morning everybody, ND, sounds like what we were having but yesterday it got up in the 20's today is suppose to be close. Got my cows put back in for the morning and it's Wednesday so off to the salebarn I go >:(, still haven't healed up from last week yet :D.
Cold here this morning 4 above 0 I don't like to have equipment problems but this morning waiting for starter parts ,feel pretty darn good here in the house ;D

Got wood in,animals fed, wife and I. Taking a break and then ? cut up some aged oak I have out on the hill! Next three hours only real working weather. Makes for short day!! have to hustle, but got the chimney cleaned yesterday so feel relieved at that! Heat 100% with wood! Furnace has been shut off for years. NStar told the wife she has the lowest bill in town. Have piped in gas for the stove and hot water and bill was only $148 total all last winter! But use Amway cook ware ( like pressure cooker) and submarine nosle on shower! :laugh:

Animals are fed, and the wild turkeys, and us. Woods in for the day. waiting for it to warm up some so I can go out and split some aged oak, by hand! One of my favorite things to do!! Why I'm probably still alive and most of my peers aren't!

It snowed again here last night so I had the starter back on the skidder and plowed the drives with it. Around thirty degrees with very little breeze. Cleaned the snow away from the bird feeder area and put out more seeds so there happy.
Good morning from the Ozarks! and it is finally above freezing! got a small dusting over night on top of our 10" from last week end, it is good to see it go,, to bad for the northeastern folks, looks like you are in the path for this one, this winter is starting off pretty cold and snowy for us, at least there are no bugs to deal with ;D

Good day, woke up in the city today to -12 blowing snow, a real noreaster, we live at the west end of Lake Ontario and these storms just pummel us.
Up at the cabin over 40" of snow in 2 days and -25C this morning. My son reports battery dead in the bobcat, the real cold tells you when its time for a new battery.
Good Afternoon All!! Back from a shopping run up to Salem, NH. Made good time up, only an hour for 75 miles. Place was packed with people shopping! Media has em all scared with snowfall predictions! Wal-Mart and Market Basket were jammed!! So now house is loaded up with wood for the Tempwood and groceries!! All is well!
Supposed to snow all night. Been snowing since we came out of Boston around 1:30. Was really coming down here on the South Shore.

Good Morning All!! Cold here too! 10 with no wind and cloudy now. Waitin' on the snow. After checking out NOAA National Radar don't know where they're getting the prediction of 6''s of snow! Right now it's a small system! Maybe they're figuring on this getting cranked up from the moisture from the ocean? Whatever... it will be mostly gone from the warmer temps and rain end of the week!

We had a pretty good Christmas here on the Larro Ranchero. Ate way too much, took a nap, then did it again. But tomorrow is another day, and I'll try hard to get back on the straight and narrow.

Good morning all, -11C this morning and clear. Most of the power is back on in Toronto, 300,000 people were with out. The last people will be back on today. The warm weather the last 2 days saved them a lot more work with all the ice gone.
The calls are coming in from people as they start to think about what they are going to do with all the downed trees. 8)

I've been up since 0400, and couldn't sleep any longer.
Temp right now is 35 degrees, but will hit the mid-60s this afternoon. Expecting it to begin raining late morning and into Monday.
