ok guys whats all the chatter I keep hearing about the ''blue tooth'' Oregon saw chain? im using stihl chains on my 365sp, as of now, I keep hearing about these other chains being tough and lasting longer?........ as long as you keep it out of the dirt they tend to last anyway lol
True, but try some Oregon LPX - Stihl chain doesn't grow into heaven! ;D
I have heard of Oregon Multicut chain, with a thicker layer of chrome for abrasive conditions:

im going to pick up a lpx and give it a go. ive been hearing lots of likes for this chain, it will have to be awesome to beat the stihl chain which has been my favorite for some time now .
I run Stihl chain almost all the time, except when I don't have time to get more. A couple of Saturdays ago I picked up a loop of Husky (Oregon?) because I was in a hurry. What a disappointment. :-\
I usually run Oregon lgx chain works good I can usually get 5 tractor trailer loads of wood out of one if it stays out of the dirt and rocks

I totally agree! it's disappointing to see and feel the difference going from a stihl to an Oregon chain!! especially when the Oregon is cheaper and the noticeable difference that the Oregon out beats the stihl hands down!!! cheaper, stays sharper longer, easier to sharpen when needed and more places carry the Oregon chain than the stihl!!!! so I would totally agree the Oregon chain is a better buy.
I can't agree with any of your points. :) Sorry.
The quality and variety of sawchain that we enjoy today, would never have been if not for the competiton between the 2 great sawchain companies. :)
