I have a regular delivery guy comes to my work. He asked if I knew anyone interested in some forks. I said bring them by, let me see 'em. He couldnt use them in his wearhouse because they brought the rear wheels up when using them on his little skidsteer(with what he normally lifts). He paid 340 from northern tool
Note:Please read the Forestry Forum's postion on this company, but I thought they were a bit small for my Cat...but when I asked if he'd be interested in trading for some lumber, he got real interested. He wants to cover all the sheetrock in his lake home with Plank, doesn't even care if its T&G. Also needs 2 beams sawn where he wants to open the floorplan. It took him 5 minutes talking for him to give me the forks as a down payment on what seems to be a decent cut list in the spring. 8).

Just wondering, is that set of forks as strong and as safe as forks made to fit or the quick change type?
Either way, long as you play it safe, they'll come in handy!
Be careful those type of forks will bend and break the bottoms on all but the heaviest construction buckets. They also are impossible to see what your doing and drastically lower the lifting capacity of the loader.

Yes, those clamp on forks are more trouble than they're worth. They bend real easy and are just plain dangerous.
they are rated at #1400 per. but they are only 4' long, i knew that would be an issue, I will never see them in front of the loader. However, I'm using 28" logging tongs on the front loader right now, so these have got to be an improvement for getting logs on the trailer or log deck. The clamp is iffy but they can be chained on in addition. As far as overloading the lift capacity of the loader, its a catterpillar track loader, plenty there.
I was already planning on building and welding a longer set. Since I'm not paying $$ for these, I wouldnt mind modifying them right out of the starting gate :)
