Title: Chainsaw Boots
Post by: Woodhog on June 14, 2004, 07:08:16 PM
I am looking for a pair of good leather boots, I see Stihl sells
them with the Kevlar lining and safety toes.

Has anyone got a pair of these boots and are they any good?

Does anyone know who manufactures them for Stihl?? ???

I have to get my rubber saw boots off  soon  as my feet are
being steam cooked.... :)

Thanks

Our local shoe/boot/footwear store has a variety of chain saw boots.

Wood,
I don't have the boots from Stihl but I have boots made by Matterhorn. They are 10" leather boots with 7 layers of kevlar. On a hot day they can be warm but I think they are good boots. Nice and rugged.
Last year when I bought them I looked around & found the best price at New England Shoe company on the web.

They are at the bottom of the page.

Get some leather Vibergs, made in Victoria BC. They're Canadian eh? And DanG comfy. They make a great lightweight set of corks with steel toes that lace up to the middle of your shin. Mmmm mmm good.
