Title: WM LT40 uses a 13'2" blade?
Post by: golddredger on March 08, 2014, 12:40:10 AM
Just want to make sure what size blade it runs. Got ideas kicking around and pricing things out. I would like to make sure it cuts 36" log and uses the 13'2" blades. There web site does not say they only give thickness and width for the LT40. Thanks! 8)

It will cut a 36" log but there is only 24" between blade guides.  You won't be making 36" slabs with the Lt40.

The LT40's do use 13'2" (158") bands unless there has been a mod to the mill such as widening the sawhead!

An LT40 has 24" from the backstop to the outer guide roller, and 28" between the guide rollers.

More specifically, the standard WM blades have 180 teeth that are 7/8" apart  ;D.
