in my part of GA we use leland cypress as a privacy fence mainly, but i was wondering if anybody every milled any. I have a tree guy giving me some free ones that are decent size.
???
I've milled some small ones.
It cuts and dries OK. Wood is fairly white in colour, looks a bit like pine but I believe it's more durable, well the heartwood anyway.
It's a hybrid of Nootka and Monterey cypress, both of which are useful timber species.
