This nice old slab pile has been there since around the late 50's or early 60's. It is along our northern boundry and is one of 5 slab piles that were on our property. I say were because 3 of them have rotted almost completley down and one the old guys burned in the mid 60's.
Back then they milled the lumber onsite. I wish someone had taken a picture of the operation.

It looks like it takes some piles longer to go back to nature than others.
