Title: Chain grinder wheel source needed
Post by: Ed on July 14, 2004, 10:30:55 AM
Help! I'm trying to find an aftermarket source for wheels for a Stihl "SG" grinder. It uses about a 13mm arbor not the 7/8 like the Tecomec & clones. So it's right now it's either make an arbor or pay the big dollar at the dealer.
I have tried Baileys & they don't have anything that will fit.
Thanks,
Ed

I have a nick the grinder with I believe it was the  same arbour. I went down to the local dealer and got all his old worn down ones that he used for his oregen which fit it well. If they are aliitle big I put them on a 4 inch grinder and spin them down(make sure they fit well) .I have heard some guy using two metal cut off wheels from habour frieght  and figuring that even worked better.
