Title: The rest of the story
Post by: SW_IOWA_SAWYER on July 20, 2004, 08:49:39 PM
I guess a little introduction is in order. I caught the bug from a guy with a woodmizer. I bought a Norwood because I wanted to spend the least and see if it was a 24 hour flu. I wasn't. I saw for fun mostly, I do sell from time to time mostly word of mouth woodworker types. The little spice cabinet I built from wood I cut. I sort of bumped into a logger who cuts walnut for a big mill. He was logging some land near me so I watched and helped a little. I visited with him and the land owner about buying a little oak and all of a sudden I have 33 oak logs. Talk about a kid in a candy store. I have all but 4 cut I also ended upwith some basswood, honey locust and a hackberry or two.
These two guys are real honest nice guys. Getting them toomy house is another strange story but I willsave that one.
Here are something I discovered while I was cutting some of the red oak it seems to be somewhat curly 8) 8)
