My wife and I are fans of old time country music. She plays the fiddle, guitar, etc. We attend fiddle contests steam shows, etc any excuse to have a tune. We would like to travel to areas outside of Ontario , but it is difficult to find out where events are happening and when. Would especially like to go to take a trip to eastern Canada. And the hill country of US. We are not pros just like to camp and fiddle.Any suggestions. Tom
Well you could start by coming to da pig roast. Looks like less then a day for ya. :)
There's bluegrass music in this area constantly. Every Tuesday in Gainesville, Thursday in Ava, and Fridays at Rockbridge. You might also like to look up www.ozarkfolk center.com. They have a program every night and often features fiddlers.
Would be nice to have some fiddle music at the pig roast. My wife is letting me bring my banjo so I got it out for the first time in a year and discovered I still can't play it :D :D
how close to NY are ya?
theres usually some pickin' up here once or twice weekly, also.
