Title: Sawdust and Splinters
Post by: Magicman on November 07, 2014, 05:31:16 PM
PatD and I attended a nice event today.  Sawmilling, chainsaw carving, blacksmithing, timber competition, and of course eating.

Chainsaw carvers.

I found some logging boots.

And Pat found a new friend, but he did not come home with us....neither did the boots.

A 4 slab bench.

We watched a Blacksmith forge a steak flipper.

That Blacksmith is friends with FF member "Gadrock" that donated the items now being auctioned.  LINK (https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php/topic,78806.0.html)

Notice any similarity??

This Logging Sports Event is held on Hwy 48 between Magnolia and Tylertown, Ms.  This is their 2nd annual event and is very well put together with many headliner carvers as well as Champion Lumberjacks & Lumberjills.

I look forward too the carving shows when there in our area. The pole climbers climb those poles pretty fast. But they come down them faster than if they fell amazing too watch them. Two thumbs up on Y bench. Thanks for sharing MM
