Title: Dinasaw grinding wheels
Post by: coastlogger on November 20, 2014, 07:01:01 PM
Ive had a new to me Dinasaw sharpener for about a year now. It came with a wheel that says its made by Apache Abrasives,Fort Langley BC. Its 5x3/16 inches 7/16 eye. It seems to last forever and I want another just like it. The Dinasaw wheel I purchased from Western  Woodlot Equipment didnt seem to last long at all.I put the still good Apache wheel back on.Ive tried calling Apache but their number is no longer in service. Anyone know anything about this?
Thx

Coasty, The Cooks wheels for their Cats Claw sharpener are close, call Tim Cook and ask him. They sell red and blue ceramic wheels they have a long effective life. Mine are 5x3/8 x1/2" they may have thinner or use the 3/8 wheel and a bushing. Frank C.

I did some research and phoning, turns out the owner of "Apache" died and another fellow bought his stock. He sold me 10 wheels like the ones I like for $100. I m good for life, I figure
