Title: Best indoor wood forced air add on?
Post by: Just Me on January 28, 2015, 08:09:02 AM
I have a wood furnace [Hotblast]in the basement and it does all right but would like to look at buying a better one for the house with outside air intake built in. I can use the Hotblast out at the woodshop. I don't want an OWB.

Before I start my research any suggestions?

Thanks, Larry

http://messickstove.com/ under products - DS stoves/furnaces
DS Stoves 717-768-3853, Gordonville, PA., doesn't have a web site (amish) they have the largest verity of stoves, furnaces, canners out there.
Their stoves/furnaces are heavy built, compare weight. Most have bi-metal draft control or other means.
I wouldn't get to hung up about out side air.

I have had my summeraire wood add on for 27 years trouble free and it still works great.  Some of my friends have bought Caddy wood furnaces and love them too.  Those arethe two models i would look at if i was going to replace mine.
