WOW!! mighty WOW!!
Nice work !!!
that is some beautiful stuff, i really like the fact that the top for the barrel has a slight rounded front instead of square, it really adds to it.
All are spectacular, but really liking the barrel chest, table top,, that pond in the back ground looked pretty inviting as well ;D I seem strings of pan fish in the near future ;D
Very nice
Thanks for sharing!!!
Well done and good pics! 8)
They are beautiful. That old growth wood adds so much character to a project. :)
WOW X WOW! Lawg Dawg that is simply amazing , where did you learn to do that? That is exactly what I want to do. Keep the pics coming. You are truly gifted
I made this box for a guy that is President of a bank. He donates a lot of money to our high school football programs and various other sports around the state. He has acquired a few "Championship Rings" from the different schools. He is a highly valuable customer of mine so I made him a box from Antique Pine Beams I sawed up on my mill, for his ring collection. Thanks

I hand dovetail the corners, it's not perfect, but I like it!
:o
WOW!
Oh MY!
FANTASTIC!
:) :) :) :)
Looks great. I like hand cut dovetails and yours look fine. I've never tried
hand cutting them. I've been using a Craftsman Jig that can only cut evenly spaced dovetails.
I recently bought a Leigh 24inch Jig. It will do variable spaced dovetails
that supposedly resembles hand cut. Going to try it out soon, need to
make another hope chest.

That is superb in every way. smiley_thumbsup
Very nice
An imperfect hand made dovetail always trumps a perfect machine made dovetail!
X2 Darrel. Lawg keep the pics coming.
:o I love it all! You folks never cease to amaze me with your talent.
great work you've done, thanks for sharing. were the beams from an old cotton mill?
That's some great work! I really like the whiskey box! 8)
Be proud of that work! The character of the beautiful vintage wood mixed with your talent is a great combination! Very cool.

Those beams came from a house up the road from me. It was demolished with a track hoe, they where hand hewn and very rough. See if I can find a pic.

That's a shame, I know, but you give the customer what they want...and this one is a pretty good one. One of the swings is under the porch of this tree house.

Thanks Guys!, I made this little Colonial Williamsburg Style Garden Shed for a client a few years ago. I drew the plans, cut the trees down, sawed the logs, and built the shed over a period of about 6 weeks. I even handmade the windows.

The charred barrel chair is really unique
Here's a few Spalted Maple Benches I made from Spalted Maple Slabs and a couple 2x4s for the legs. Just draw knife tenons for the legs, gives them a nice "handcrafted" look, don't you think?

Yes Sir, I slathered them down real good, then I used my 8lb. sledge hammer to drive em on in before I sawed them off level. and I really beat the pith out of them, almost to the point I think the slab is gonna split!
Wait. You do have a log deck!
I think your thinking looks mighty nice.
Nice, I do like the walking path you made next to the mill.
Yes l do have a log deck...now I'm trying to speed air dry some lumber for a "personal project"...sorry about the sloppy stickering

I cut these mantles out of pretty much "junk" red oak logs...I can get two per log, and sell them for a $100 bill each. Not bad for firewood, and I cant keep them on the yard!
Most of my Mantles come out of junk logs......there is a market for every log on your yard. :)
Those mantels will make someone happy. smiley_thumbsup
Here's a craftsman style door I made a few years ago out of some old poplar and pine boards. Ive since installed it and add the glass.
