Title: LT15 auto feed problem
Post by: wyowood on March 29, 2015, 12:28:36 AM
Hooked up the auto feed on my LT 15 today and after 2 or 3 passes through a 18" x 20' log it cut out. Checked all the conections and tension and tried again and had the same results, after a few passes it would quit but after 10 minutes or so it would work again. Kind of a frustrating day, Thinking about putting  the manual feed back on. I will be call WM come Monday for support, until then I am open to suggestions.

Wyo, I know little of the LT-15 power feed but if its WM its electric and it sounds like an overload is tripping then resetting. Check that your voltage is up to par. Also check that everything is moving  freely. Frank C.

See if you can run the unit with the rope off the motor pulley. Call me if you still need help.

Pulled the rope off of the pulley of the power feed and it still trips out. Pulled it off and and put the manual feed back on. Sean with Rocky Mountain Woodmizer has another one coming, yay Woodmizer!

UPS delivered the replacement powerfeed last night just before I left for work, can't say enough about the customer service from Wood Mizer. hopefully I'll be able to install it on these days off, although the weather reports don't sound to encouraging. Add to that the colonoscopy that I have scheduled for Wednesday which leaves Thursday for sawmilling. :) More about the colonoscopy later on another link. :-X

Finally got the new power feed installed today and it works like a charm. I love this mill. Thank you Sean with Rocky Mountain Wood Miser and all the folks with Wood Miser back in Indy that helped with this issue.

The power feed on the LT15 puts it into another class, for sure.
