I know it has been done. I have the pivot part figured out but I have not worked on a way to fasten the saw to the mounting plate yet
Hi
I'm not sure if this will help or not but I have mounted my chainsaw on a pivot with a slide to take advantage of gravity. Third world technology but it works. There are pictures on this link.

Tree tech yours is the vid that I was thinking of. I still think it was a good way to have the saw mounted. I am looking to build a small one to take into the woods as my bigger one is hard to get into some of the areas in the woods. Just have to find the time to finish it
If I can help in any way, just let me know.
