Anybody have one of these engines with stuck exhaust valves , & how to unstickem , I have had one of these engines stored in my shop close to 30 yrs, & went to roll it over, & it only rolls over part way, I can't remember if this was a running engine when I got it or not! Anyways I pulled the head off ,& if I pound on them they go down, then roll the engine & kinda bounce them back up but man they are tight.I have soaking them in rust reaper, atf, brake clean, just can't seem to make much headway, anybody got any miracle cures! I plan on useing this 50yr old motor to power a 50yr old buzz saw, any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks Dave
You`re beyond the miracle stage Dave. :) Remove the valve from the guide a clean the rust from both.
Good luck

On my one lung Wisc. I would pull the head tap the valve down reassemble and add 2cycle gas to the tank and run the thing . but I only had to do that twice that I remember. It never sat long enough to stick like yours . Most times just running the 2cycle fuel was enough to do the trick after a year storage.
