I really like the log buildings here. The Northern Forest Heritage Park is in Berlin, NH which is a mill town. There is such a stunning contrast when you are driving south on rt 16 between the mills in the foreground and the tallest peaks in the East (6280?ft) in the distance. Berlin is mostly surrounded by the White Mtn. National Forest and a gateway to the Rangely Lakes of Maine.

A friend and I rode through this area on a warm day last week. It is every bit as stunning as S-B describes it. Add to that the colors and it was quite a trip.
Totally lost focus at work and stumbled across this cool place in NH (http://chapterhouse2.nhvt.net/users/momaw/taylormill/taylormill.htm)
I'm going to try and talk the better half in heading over to the one in Ledyard CT sometime this month.
Cool website. That must have taken some time to put together. I learned something new for sure.
I go through there on my way to the east coast, I take that route on purpose and try to time it so that I end up there late in the afternoon and stay overnight at the Town & Country Inn.
It took several trips through there before my missus caught on to what I was doing, she thought it was just a coincidence.
This is the view south on the Androscoggin River towards the Presidential Mtns from 1/4 mile north of the Heritage Park.
