Post by: SJK on August 05, 2015, 12:16:45 PM
Hi Guys, Anybody of you know if there is a aftermarked cylinderkit for a new CS2252 it about 4 months old. My buddy´s father is using it with a peeler and it god hot and cylinder is very unplesant to look at now. A new OE one is about 1/3 off the Price of a new saw here in Denmark  :(

Thanks

Are you sure there's no way the stock cyl is unsalvageble? I've seen some bad looking cylinders brought back to life with Muriatic Acid and elbow grease. I believe a 353 husky is the same p@c but not 100 percent

Hi, I do not think it can be saved, it has very large cuts into the wall. He was using it at full throttle, when it just didn´t pull anymore at he gave it a couple of gas clicks and it died. he´s other saw did just the same, and I blame the oil/gas mix for not being the right mix and probley to poor quality of oil.
The other saw is a older model, an he got a AM kit on it the same day, and some fresh aspen 2 stroke gasmix on it. and it has been running very good since  :D

Not 353, but 545 - so I doubt aftermarket is an option - but it may be some time into the future.

Husky 353 is the same a a Jonsered 2152.  I don't know what's in the 2252.

I just told what it is, in the post above yours.

351 -> 2149
353 -> 2152
346xp 45cc -> 2147
346xpNE 50cc -> 2153

Totally new design, 550xp family:
545 -> 2252

OK. I do own a 2152 that I've asked a few questions about from time to time.
