Title: Wood Doctor 8000
Post by: Melissa Reinhard on August 21, 2015, 09:08:16 AM
Hey all, looking for help with our wood doctor, we bought it just before the company went out of business.  Ugh.  Anyway, we need to purchase and replace the fire bricks.  Any idea where we can get the bricks and how to take the darn thing apart to replace them?  We live in southwestern Maine.  Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the Forestry Forum, Mellissa.

I don't know anything about the woodburner but several sizes and shapes of firebrick are available at Paris Farmers stores.
Vacume it out and look carefully along the walls for a piece that comes out.

Thank you, we are trying to figure out the best way to get the thing apart to be able to put new bricks in.  Any advice?

Apparently, lots of other people are burning thru firebricks, also. Makes me think it burns too hot.

Since I've never seen one, I can't help you figure it out.

This website says that none of the furnaces were actually manufactured by "Wood Doctor" Maybe an intense search thru other brands or a call to them will reveal what brand it really is ???
