The 390XP is quite a bit lighter and smaller in size then the 395XP.
Comparable to a oversized 372XP.

I have a 390 ported by Eric Copsley and a 2188 with just a muffler mod.
I was cutting on a 48 inch white oak this morning with the 390 and the saw leaned out real bad. I let it cool off and filled it with gas. It ran fine for a short while and then leaned out again. I finished with my 365xt. I was guessing it was tank vent but when I took the cover off I saw the manifold clamp had no fastener on the end of the screw. Darn.

The 390 replaced the 385 as I understood it. Supposedly a 395 replacement in the works in guess, but that could be as elusive as the 572....

I have a 390 xp and like the saw. for a bigger saw its balanced well. it is noticeably lighter than the 395 xp.
