I got out of the Single Shot Contender market quite a while back, But I do Keep a Taurus "The Judge. it is a heavy 5 shot revolver that will shoot 410 or 45 Long Colt. Good gun to keep with me in the woods and around the office for all sorts of "Varmints". Lots of Bark and Kick.

I have one, 45-410 barrel, 460 sw barrel, sweet shooting gun, have a muzzleloader barrel also, and a few rifle barrels also, they all enterchange on same action, different stocks. Stainless is the way to go.

I have the 45/.410 Armor Alloy, 10 inch, not the Gen II. Shoots just like you would expect from a 10 barrel.

I use to hunt rabbits with a guy that hunted with one. He always did well on the rabbits with it.

Used to be known as the most accurate pistol made.  Mine is generally carrying a 223 barrel for vermin, but I also have a selection of barrels all in rifle caliber and with 4X scopes.  I also use a S&W Governor with 2.5" 410 ammo along with some personal defense ammo as a carry along/nite stand weapon.  As said before a carjacker would have time to learn braile in jail.  :)

I have shot many limits of grouse in Colorado with a TC 410.  I loved it.

Contenders and Encores are great guns, the only problem is they're very addictive. You can't have just one.

I had one with a 223 Rem and a 44 Mag barrel, years ago when I was stationed in South Dakota.

Sold it for some dumb reason and bought another with a 223 Rem barrel after I got back to NY, my son owns it now.

That 223 has taken quite a few Whitetails!  ;)

You won't regret it!

Most of my barrels are from the time when my brother worked in the Custom Shop there.....since he went to SigSuaer, I'll feeling barrel-poor.
