Sorry Dave,  I can't give you any help on the Baker Wood Buddy.   They had one stacked up at the Paul Bunyan show.  I think it's only been out a short time so maybe not a lot of people out there have them.

But...  What else did you see at the Ozark Farm Fest?  Did you get to talk with Will Baugh of Wood-Mizer and Tom Stout of Baker?  I think 21 Sawshop was there the last time we attended.

Did you see any other Foresty Forum members there?  Arky has came to these things but maybe he was too busy this year.   I knew a couple of people that had planned to attend but had other things come up.

Dave ... I think the" wood buddy " is the old  " enercraft" revisited. Baker bought out  Enercraft a few years back. ::)

I went by 21saw shop just yesterday, their building something similar to the wood buddy but I think that they are putting a15 horse on theirs not sure .I'v seen a couple of the 45 angle cut saws in action .NICE SAW for the price .

I talked to Will the LT15 is the saw i would realy like but would have to put off getting one for at least another year   The person i talked to at Baker was the younger man from Canada and they said they would take the buddy in on trade for the one  the next  one bigger
This 21 Saw shop sounds interesting because my bigest problem with the wood buddy is i don't feel that the 9 horse is big enough  the 15 just go through wood so much better there was one more mill there the company was from IL. can't rember there name and don't find there info right now the saw that baker is showing on the web site is the 5 horse the 9 is 2900 that still is a good price for the saw
As for seeing any one else from the forum i didn't  I didn't even get to see all that much of farm fest by the time i really look the mills over and talked to everyone  and went to the goat barns to talk to a few people checked on some electric fence  energiizers it was time i had to go told dw i would get back so she could leave at 3 that was a mistake   but a lot of the displays will be at the small farm show in nov and i'm planing to go at least one day  I'll add some more latter but better get to work i've got nest boxes for wash for the rabbits  You can't tell what i went to see can ya

The wood buddy is now a year old in production. Its just a little hobby mill for cutting around on maybe the farm for personal use. A little slow maybe but has a good looking cut. If you are looking for production then you need to look at the larger models
Bibbyman, we missed you there along with Arky. Had a really good show this year, weather was good except we are really needing the rain. The attendance was up compared to the previous years.
There was another mill setup beside us but they left saturday evening. I guess I should start wearing that new "Forestry Forum" hat that was sent to me from the Paul Bunyan show. THANKS FOR THE DELIVERY JEFF.

Hi Tom-In-MO,

Yea,  the Ozark Farm Fest is a good all around farm show.  Been there at least two year.  But the Paul Bunyan show is Forestry plus a lot more.

See you at the Small Farm show in Columbia, Mo. comin' up soon... ;)
