I used to have a whole list of characters you could make that way. It went up in smoke with one of my old 'puters. :-/  Anybody have access to it?

FDH, we got the same deal on the weather. Didn't quite make it to 70 yesterday, and got into the 40s last nite. Nice to get some work done without being drenched in sweat. :)

We HOPE we're through with the hurricanes. Still got another month or so in the season.  In 1985, H. Kate tore up Tallahassee the weekend before Turkey Day. :o

Y'all can keep all the snow up there. That's gotta be the most miserable substance there ever was!

Had to jump into the truck today when it started pourning up at the mill, even had some hail in with it...not cold enough for sleet yet is it  ???  Hopefully it quits raining long enough for me to cut up a few more logs.  Speaking of which, I'm cutting some tamarak up, is this stuff okay for bedding?  Not for myself, you know, the four legged kind.

Cool enough here I've been building stoking the woodburner in the shop in the mornings to warm it up and dry it out. It's just so DanG damp right now.  It gets below 45° (see lefties can do that too) I'm miserable

I may have to winter ant Fla._Deadheaders house.  ;D ;D Show him just what a leftie can do  :D :D

DanG, no worries, I'm still single  ;D  The only female in the house is the four legged type.  No the bedding isn't for her, I clean up enough dirt and sawdust from her as it is  :D

Red, the bigger logs in this batch are a little over 12" in diameter.  I had some a few years back big enough to cut one log into four 6x6's.  I almost hate to cut this stuff into framing lumber, but it's for someone else, and a lot of these logs are kinda small anyway.  The wood is beautiful, a deep red-orange, and it smells really sweet.  A friend of mine that does tree work got asked by a woman what was wrong with that larch in her yard, it lost all its needles.  She didn't believe him when he said it would come back in the spring  :-/

Few days ago a fellow from Fla. called me said he was coming up to a lake not to far from us. He asked about what to wear. I told him layers that you can mix...weather changes fast here. He called wednesday the temp was 76, Friday morning we were 7 and had a foot of snow on the ground. Farmers are not happy, don't imagine Phil will be either!
