Title: stuff
Post by: petefrom bearswamp on February 07, 2016, 04:03:32 PM
Just killing time until SB kickoff.
Went thru a lot of old threads and here are some observations.
Evidently the fellow who started the WM rant several years ago decided the forum was not for him.
Electrical problems seem to be a bugaboo for lots of mill owners especially WM owners. I too experienced an H bridge failure at about 600 hrs which was due to one of the fuses not being tight and shorting out on the other one. replacement is indeed difficult as is the fuse upgrade.
My mill doesnt move very often, so jarring was not an issue, the upper fuse was very loose.
Maintenance is paramount to having fewer problems.
Adjustments can be time consuming and frustrating.
Tons of helpful info is gained and remembered by re reading old threads.
All members have opinions some helpful, some not.
Grits are either loved or hated, no middle ground on this one.
I didnt know or had forgotten that Kansas had passed, I did know about Tom tho.
Magicman eats like a gourmet and manages to stay thin.
Poston is a joker (in a good way)
Quite a few longer term members are no longer posting.
I can kill a lot of time, mostly valuable here.
I sure there is lots more stuff but I cant think of any right now.
Probably should have put this in General bd, but dont know how to change it.

Pete,

your statement(s) are very true,

You have missed a very mild winter here in the Finger lakes.
Of-course we are not quite out of the woods yet!!

best regards
Dan

been there and walked in them shoes, time consuming, costly and frustrating,, got resolved by some techs that worked the issue. not sure If mine was the rant, but if it was the ending was/ and is always resolved one way or other,, not sure what this one is about, but pretty sure had I not posted,,posted,,, for those that are hard of hearring , yea a lil southern drawww,  best I can do with the technology ;D  many other folks could be struggling with similar issues, so it works,  everything in moderation, they say, whoever they are ;D  talking helps at times and sometimes its not always pretty,
