3 wrong smiley_headscratch
The only one to to give me pause was term of senators, had to think about that one. Actually, watching the show madam secretary like I do, has refreshed my memory on a lot of basic questions, such as the succession of the presidency. (without giving that answer away) In one episode that very thing came up, and it made it to the secretary of state for a short time due to the situations that occurred with the individual(s) from the president to her.
23/25
I got 20 out of 25. Should have got 22 but I got cutesy with one and misread the other. I saw the episode of Madame Secretary that Jeff mentioned and I saw the John Goodman arc of West Wing but my memory was faulty. The majority of this knowledge was gleaned as an adult so none of it is ingrained in me.
23 and I don't live there. ;D
100 senators, not 50, duh. Must have been thinking number of states. Oh well, got the rest.
22
25/25, but there was a few that I wasn't sure on and had some kinda lucky guesses on.
This dumb ol' hillbilly got a 25/25!
I took this a while ago and got 25/25, surprisingly.
I got 18 out of 25 Not bad for a Canadian
I missed the Indian question,, but had the feeling, bad guess :D
24/25 (Better re-count those amendments)
Good quiz.
24. I knew how many Senators there are, not how long they're in office
24 for me, I missed how long a senators term is.
23/25 :o ???
The two I got wrong I was sure were correct. Several that I got right I was pretty sure I was wrong. Go figure.
25
I thought the "I" in world War I was a "II".
I missed that one.
20/25. Better than I thought I would.
Fellow canadians give it a try

23/25 here.
Madison drafted the Constitution.
TJ was in France during the time the Constitution was written.
24. Senators term got me too
25 of 25
I should have remembered from high school, never second guess your first choice when doing multiple choice questions, I'd have done a lot better ::).

Same here. Best answer for most of them is.....too long!
i got 24 out of 25 ,,,not bad for being out of school for a long time, some of those questions streched my memory
jim
23/25 I missed the terms for the Senator, I knew there are 100 but I thought only 2 years. I also missed who takes over if the POTUS and VPOTUS are both incapacitated. I thought it was the Secretary of Defense.
24/25. Senators serve too long. :D

No. James Madison is considered 'the Father of the Constitution' though he didn't write it all himself. The convention determined what would be in the document.

Yeah, when I saw what I'd done, I thought it might have been out of wishful thinking. There's a couple more posts that sound like we're not the only ones thinking it
I let one of my HS classes take the quiz today as a group. They missed the senator question as well due to the term limit. I was surprised that question #8 was the only one that they missed.
So here I am, a DanG foreigner, and I've known since I was a kid that a Representative has a 2 year term, the President has a 4 year term, and senators have a 6 year term, with 1/3 of the senators being up for re-election every 2 years.
So how come the people who actually vote for these offices don't know what a senator's term is ??? ??? :D. A person might start to think that voters don't really notice senators that much in the US :D :D.
:D ;D :o Good point Brucer!!!! I missed the term of the Senators myself and I work in local government!!! That's the problem today in our country though..... we citizens should all have to actually take a US citizenship test and be able to pass it and I'm quite afraid that many, many, many, many would not have a clue... can we say "low information voters!!!"
We need to make sure we don't cross the line that gets this tossed into restricted topics.
Let's not go there.
My comment was entirely in jest.
Agreed..... never talk religion or politics is what I've always been told. Good advice generally.
23/25
24/25 i missed the question who was pres during WW2...
but i suppose school was a lot more recent for me then it was for some of you... :D ;)
You probably missed it because the question was who was president during world war ONE.
