Greetings
My question is ....Where do I find current log prices?
On the net or who do I contact?
Thankyou....Steve
Log prices is pretty vague. THere are some websites out there that have price reports, but everyone is a pay site that I know of. And they are regional. Have no way of even atempting to answer your question without knowing where your at.
Log prices and wood prices will not only vary from geographic region, they will vary from mill to mill that may only be 5 miles apart...
As Jeff says, log prices vary by location even within the local area. There are paid subscription listings and State DNR price listings which may be obtained at no charge depending upon where you are located.
Check with your local mills, Conservation District Forester; DNR Service Forester, Extension Forester, or local professional Consulting Forester. They may be able to provide you with a listing for your local area.
Thank you
Jeff and Ron
I just wanted to be sure of my searching the net.

Some times the net is a muddle @##%$&& and thank you again
