Title: Maple gun rack
Post by: DextorDee on November 01, 2004, 12:56:27 PM
Finally got around to building me a gun rack for my leaning wall.  (A frame house). Its Maple, made two of em. This tree was a blow down I drug up and sawed a while back. Think maybe it was a red maple.

Very nice. And what makes it extra special is that you started with a log, made the boards and then the rack. That's meaningful. :)

Aye! There's nothing like making ALL of it your self.

Dextor, looks good. Nothing like making it from wood you sawed up.

I like it ;D

Got a pic of the living tree... would be a nice touch to put a pic of the actual tree on the rack....

I saw a clock ( grandfather type ) that a fella did that with...  he did a real nice job on the clock and the pic of the tree that supplied the lumber was different... probably raised the price of the clock  :D
